This series focuses on Aloma's ancestry. Growing up in the Middle East, one is engulfed in geometric shapes and patterns. Treister has borrowed these and integrated them into her paintings and collages of distant relatives and kin.

These works explore familiar patterns Aloma observed while growing up in Iran. They are adapted, and made her own.
Works on paper
I discovered “The Scribe” Journal of Babylonian Jewry published in the UK This covered subjects relating to Jews of Iraqi origin and several photos. I started using these images, cutting, pasting and overlayin them with patterns on paper.
